Welcome to First Southern Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas! We are a dynamic community of faith, hope, and love, and exist to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, worship the Almighty God, and develop genuine relationships with others. We invite you to discover God's joy and peace in your life, and share in touching people in our community and world through biblical teaching, service, and life-changing ministries.

When to arrive...

If it's your first visit, then it's probably best to show up around 15 minutes early (8:15 am for the first service, 9:30 am for small groups, or 10:45 am for second service). If you are driving, then you'll be pleased to know that there is plenty of free parking with designated spaces reserved for visitors like you! You'll be greeted at the door by a member of our welcoming team who can direct you to the visitor's information station just inside the entrance to the foyer.

What to wear...

This is easy. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. You'll see people wearing anything from jeans to suits and everything in between. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Is it just on Sundays?

Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us, we offer midweek small groups (a small group is simply a meeting of maybe 10 people in someone's house). Small groups are a great way to get to know others and to be real with each other about everyday living.
